What is "Green Screen" Photography?
Also referred to as "chromakey" photography, green screen involves shooting a subject against a solid color background (typically green) then replacing it later with a different background. While it sounds simple, achieving realistic appearing results requires extensive experience. Green screen is a great option when it's not practical to shoot on location because of travel costs, weather, time requirements, lighting conditions, safety issues, etc. It's also a wonderful way to introduce playful elements into your photographs such as bull fighting, jumping from an airplane, standing in a ghost town, or posing next to the politician of the day. You can let your imagination run wild with green screen photography and it helps keep the kids focused if they know they'll get to take some fun pictures at the end of the session. We can also bring our "green screen" studio to your event or party with custom backgrounds and logos!
